The AUTO ONE adaptive filter can be switched between "fast" mode and "precise" mode. The quick mode is used in occasions where the position of the microphone is frequently changed, for example, in a conference system equipped with multiple microphones and used interchangeably. The precise mode is suitable for occasions where the position of the microphone is fixed, for example, a stable acoustic environment. The adaptive filter can converge at a slower speed, effectively suppressing more reflection components. Up to 12dB gain can be obtained before acoustic feedback occurs, depending on the acoustic environment and the previous operating mode.
The AUTO ONE feedback suppressor also has an automatic mixer built into the two microphone inputs. In many situations, such as at a podium, a pulpit, or a conference table, the use of two microphones can better capture the voice of the speaker in motion, which often increases the risk of acoustic feedback. In view of this problem, the automatic mixer in the Plena feedback suppressor will automatically reduce the gain of the microphone with the weaker signal input and increase the gain of the other microphone with the stronger signal input. In this way, it can track the moving speaker and produce the best sound clarity. At the same time, since the total amount of gain is kept constant, the maximum gain amount without acoustic feedback is maintained. Even if the feedback suppressor is disabled, the automixer function still works.
